If you are taking regular medication you will be given a Repeat Prescription Request Form every time you renew your prescription. It is important that medicines are not wasted — decide which items you need, tick them clearly on the form and cross any items that you no longer need.
We do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone, but you can email or fax them to us, or request them via systemonline once you have registered for this service. Always allow at least TWO working days for us to process your prescription request. If you require your prescription to be posted to you please provide a stamped addressed envelope.
If you would like to request an item that is not on your repeat list please note this may take longer than two working days to process. The Doctor will also require a reason as to why you are requesting this medication.
It is important to give as much notice as possible. Do not leave it until the last minute as you risk running out of medication.
All local Pharmacies collect completed prescriptions from the surgery so that you can obtain your prescription and medication directly from them. They also all accept electronic prescriptions, so if your prescription items are able to be sent electronically they will be. You can nominate a Pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to at any time, via the surgery or your chosen Pharmacy.
